Keen Targhee Iv Mid Waterproof Soft Toe Work 1031464.
KEEN Targhee IV Mid is built with a KEEN.DRY waterproof and breathable membrane that helps keep moisture out while allowing airflow from within. The boot features a heat-resistant rubber outsole rated up to 572°F (300°C) and is assembled in the USA using premium materials sourced globally. Its 100% non-metallic construction allows for easy passage through metal detectors in high-security environments. KEEN.FUSION technology permanently bonds the upper to the outsole without the use of glues or solvents, creating a stronger and longer-lasting connection. A supportive shank enhances midfoot stability and comfort.Made with environmentally preferred premium leather sourced from an LWG-certified tannery, the boot supports cleaner water practices. A PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR) treatment provides effective water resistance without relying on forever chemicals. The water-resistant leather helps reduce liquid absorption and maintain the leather’s quality over time. For lasting comfort, the boot incorporates a KEEN Luftcell midsole infused with approximately 100,000 microscopic air bubbles per cubic centimeter, delivering lightweight cushioning throughout the day. A removable metatomical footbed provides additional comfort and support, while the breathable mesh lining helps keep feet cool in warm working conditions. The leather thickness ranges from 1.60 mm to 1.80 mm, and non-metallic locking lace hooks provide a secure fit.The oil- and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole offers dependable traction. Electrical Hazard (EH) or Electric Shock Resistant (ESR) protection provides a secondary level of defense in the event of accidental contact between the outsole and live electrical circuits. The 90° heel (5/8 in.) is designed to improve stability on ladders, scaffolding, and uneven terrain. For maintenance, gently remove dirt using a soft, damp sponge and treat stains promptly with a mild cleaner. The left and right asymmetrical soft toes help protect against minor impacts but are not reinforced for crush resistance. The boot meets ASTM F2892-18 EH standards, ASTM F2913-24 SATRA slip-resistance requirements, ASTM F1677-96 Mark II slip-resistance standards, ASTM SATRA TM31 material abrasion standards, and ASTM D471-06 903# oil and isooctane chemical-resistance standards for the outsole and midsole.
