Shoulder 3 large vented outside pockets, padded kidney pad and shoulder straps, waterproof lining and accessory loops. Alice stands for all-purpose lightweight individual carrying equipment system and was adopted by the united states army in the 1960s to help soldiers carry large heavy packs.

Looks like an issue item, doesn’t feel like it

BLUF, this item is made in China. I haven’t tested it’s ruggedness yet, but it certainly doesn’t feel as sturdy as the item that I received from a CIF (central issuing facility, for you civilians). I think they took the original and reverse engineered it, only with cheaper materials. The frame is pretty close to the original at least. If you’re looking for a pack for heavy weight, you’re better off spending the extra money for the real deal elsewhere.
